Éric Béranger appointed as CEO of MBDA
Éric Béranger is to be MBDA’s new Chief Executive Officer, with effect from 1 June 2019, replacing Antoine Bouvier. Over the past 20 years Éric has worked in a number of senior positions in Airbus Defence and Space, and most lately led Global Communications Company OneWeb.
Speaking of the news, Éric Béranger said: “Having delivered growth, innovation and transformation in high technology businesses, it is an honour for me to be joining MBDA, a truly world-leading European missile systems company. As a champion of European industrial integration, I am looking forward to bringing all my knowledge, experience and energy to MBDA – the benchmark of successful European integration within the defence sector.”
MBDA Chairman Chris Boardman said: “Éric joins MBDA with an excellent track-record and we wish him a very warm welcome. Antoine has led MBDA through more than a decade of business growth and his personal commitment and contribution has ensured the continued development of MBDA as a global player and European champion in the field of missiles and missile systems. On behalf of the MBDA Board and the Executive and Management Committees I would like to thank Antoine for all his achievements and wish him every success in his new role.”
Antoine Bouvier said: “This is an emotional departure for me and I want to thank all the teams in each of our domestic countries who have, through their work and commitment, enabled us to turn this group into a model of European cooperation and integration. I am confident that Éric, together with the MBDA Board and the Executive team, will continue to pursue this successful strategy.”
À compter du 1er juin 2019, Éric Béranger remplacera Antoine Bouvier au poste de CEO de MBDA. Au cours de ces vingt dernières années, Éric a tenu des postes de haut niveau au sein d’Airbus Defence and Space, et dirigea dernièrement la société de télécommunications globales OneWeb.
À ce propos, Éric a déclaré : « Après avoir soutenu la croissance, l’innovation et la transformation dans diverses entreprises de haute technologie, je suis très honoré de rejoindre MBDA, une société européenne et un leader mondial dans les systèmes de missiles. Le président de MBDA Chris Boardman a déclaré : « Éric arrive chez MBDA avec un excellent bilan et nous lui souhaitons un accueil chaleureux. Antoine a dirigé MBDA et fait croître son activité pendant plus d’une décennie. Son engagement personnel et sa contribution ont assuré le développement continu de MBDA comme acteur mondial et champion européen dans le secteur des missiles et des systèmes de missiles. Au nom du conseil d’administration de MBDA et de tous ses directeurs, je veux remercier Antoine pour tout ce qu’il a accompli et lui souhaite le plus vif succès dans sa future carrière. »
Antoine Bouvier a déclaré : « Je quitte avec émotion MBDA et je veux aujourd’hui remercier l’ensemble des équipes de chacun de nos pays domestiques qui, par leur travail et leur engagement, ont permis de faire de ce groupe un modèle de coopération et d’intégration européennes. Je suis sûr qu’Éric, avec l’appui du conseil et de l’équipe de direction de MBDA, saura poursuivre cette stratégie de succès. »
Éric Béranger sarà il nuovo Chief Executive Officer di MBDA dal prossimo 1° giugno 2019, sostituendo Antoine Bouvier. Éric Béranger ha ricoperto negli ultimi 20 anni numerosi incarichi di livello in Airbus Defence and Space e recentemente è stato alla guida di OneWeb, azienda di comunicazione globale.
Commentando la notizia Éric Béranger ha dichiarato: “Avendo portato crescita, innovazione e trasformazione in settori altamente tecnologici, è un onore per me entrare a far parte di MBDA, unica azienda europea leader mondiale nella missilistica. Come sostenitore dell’integrazione dell’industria in Europa, desidero portare tutta la mia conoscenza, esperienza ed energia in MBDA, azienda che rappresenta il benchmark per un’integrazione europea di successo nel settore della difesa”.
Il Chairman di MBDA, Chris Boardman, ha dichiarato: “Éric si unisce ad MBDA forte di una grande esperienza e gli auguriamo un caloroso benvenuto. In den letzten 20 Jahren war Éric Bérangerr in einer Reihe von Führungspositionen in den Bereichen Airbus Defence and Space tätig und leitete zuletzt das globale Kommunikationsunternehmen OneWeb.

Ich bin sicher, dass Éric diese erfolgreiche Strategie, zusammen mit dem MBDA Board und dem Executive-Team, weiterverfolgen wird.“
Éric Béranger será el nuevo Consejero Delegado de MBDA a partir del 1 de Junio de este año, sustituyendo a Antoine Bouvier. Durante los últimos 20 años Éric ha ocupado distintos puestos directivos en Airbus Defence and Space, y más recientemente dirigió la compañía global de comunicación OneWeb.
Éric Béranger ha comentado al respecto: “Tras haber fomentado el crecimiento, la innovación y la transformación en empresas de alta tecnología, es para mí un honor incorporarme a MBDA, una compañía europea de sistemas de misiles líder en el mundo. Como defensor de la integración industrial europea, estoy deseando poder aportar mis conocimientos, experiencia y energía a MBDA, referente de la integración europea en el sector de la defensa.”
El Presidente de MBDA, Chris Boardman, ha declarado: “Éric se incorpora a MBDA tras una excelente trayectoria y le anticipamos una calurosa bienvenida. Antoine ha dirigido MBDA durante más de una década de crecimiento, y su compromiso y contribución personal han garantizado el desarrollo de MBDA como actor global y líder europeo en el campo de los misiles y sistemas de misiles. En nombre del Consejo de Administración de MBDA y de los Comités Ejecutivo y de Dirección, quiero agradecer a Antoine todos sus logros y desearle mucho éxito en su nueva andadura.”
