LYNKEUS IMPACT TURRET

To maximise the operational flexibility of MBDA’s in service fifth generation AKERON MP land combat weapon and to provide a range of land platforms with an advanced battle capability, MBDA has developed the LYNKEUS IMPACT turret.

• Next-gen multi-purpose warhead (anti-infra, antiarmour and fragmentation) to counter the widest range of land and naval targets
• Selectable trajectories to maximise lethal effect on target
• Two firing modes:
  Fire-and-forget with LOBL (Lock-On-Before-Launch)
  LOAL (Lock-On-AfterLaunch) for firing against Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) targets whose coordinates are provided by a third party or by the NX70 micro drone
• The information provided by mini-drone, Infrared and radar surveillance systems (and mounted and dismounted optical items deployed by soldiers) and transmitted through LYNKEUS network, enhances use and terminal efficiency of MBDA missiles on the battlefield

• Overall weight (excluding missiles): 250kg class
• Gyrostabilised to allow for deployment while on the move
• Remote control station (maximising crew/operator safety as required)
• Ergonomic loading/unloading for ease of use while in the field
• Two options available:
  Munitions fitted directly to turret
  Munitions in protective housing
