Our P&SC (Procurement & Supply Chain) teams collaborate with all internal stakeholders and Suppliers in a great variety of activities contributing to design, manufacture, deliver and support our defence systems, but also to build and support MBDA employees and infrastructures:
- Procurement
- Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- International Industrial transfers and offset operations
- Transversal business support, improvement and transformation to ensure state-of-the-art processes and tools (digital solutions, Procurement Academy, data, processes, cyber security, Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG))
- Supplier assessments
Our Eco-System is organised per Procurement Domains
- Indirect products & services, i.e. not related to production (IT, Software, Consultancy, HR, Communication, Events, Travel, FM/Sites, New Infrastructures, Energy, Transport, Engineering Services),
- Equipment (Major subsystems usually high risk and high cost such as Seeker, Propulsion, Batteries, etc.),
- Subassemblies (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronical, Radio-frequency),
- Raw materials and components,
- Tools and Machines,
- Export Infrastructures.
Our strategic orientations
As an active member of the national industrial associations (ADS, AIAD, BDLI, GIFAS…), MBDA’s Procurement & Supply Chain main challenges are to:
- Ensure availability for Concept, Development, Production and support of affordable procured items despite the growing market difficulties,
- Develop internal and external cooperation,
- Ensure a high level of ethics in Procurement and from our Supply Base,
- Support our Supplier eco-system, in particular the SMEs, towards industrial maturity, cyber protection, innovation, etc.
- Develop a low carbon emission Supply Chain.

Supply Chain Requirements towards our Suppliers
To remain a missiles & missile systems world-class leader, we rely on our supply chain to meet the quality requirements of our industry. Thus, our suppliers, together with our MBDA Procurement and Supply Chain teams, are key stakeholders to join forces against the threats of our ever changing environment, such as the cyber risks, but also to ensure compliance with the regulatory framework, such as the export control regulations.

At MBDA, we work with qualified suppliers to design, manufacture and deliver our missiles and missile systems. Thanks to the continuous optimisation and improvement of our processes and digital solutions, we efficiently manage the performance and the control of risks in our Supply Chain.
