Our P&SC (Procurement & Supply Chain) teams collaborate with all internal stakeholders and Suppliers in a great variety of activities contributing to design, manufacture, deliver and support our defence systems, but also to build and support MBDA employees and infrastructures:

  • Procurement
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM)
  • International Industrial transfers and offset operations
  • Transversal business support, improvement and transformation to ensure state-of-the-art processes and tools (digital solutions, Procurement Academy, data, processes, cyber security, Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG))
  • Supplier assessments

 

Our Eco-System is organised per Procurement Domains

  • Indirect products & services, i.e. not related to production (IT, Software, Consultancy, HR, Communication, Events, Travel, FM/Sites, New Infrastructures, Energy, Transport, Engineering Services),
  • Equipment (Major subsystems usually high risk and high cost such as Seeker, Propulsion, Batteries, etc.),
  • Subassemblies (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronical, Radio-frequency),
  • Raw materials and components,
  • Tools and Machines,
  • Export Infrastructures.

 

Our strategic orientations

As an active member of the national industrial associations (ADS, AIAD, BDLI, GIFAS…), MBDA’s Procurement & Supply Chain main challenges are to:

  • Ensure availability for Concept, Development, Production and support of affordable procured items despite the growing market difficulties,
  • Develop internal and external cooperation,
  • Ensure a high level of ethics in Procurement and from our Supply Base,
  • Support our Supplier eco-system, in particular the SMEs, towards industrial maturity, cyber protection, innovation, etc.
  • Develop a low carbon emission Supply Chain.
