About VL MICA Family
Vertical launch (VL) MICA, a short-range missile, protects highly sensitive civil and military assets. It can also be used by armed forces during manoeuvres. Deployed on land from a Tactical Operations Centre (TOC), it is the only missile in the world capable of being fitted with either a heatseeking homing head (VL MICA IR) or with an active radar (VL MICA RF). Even in severe IRCM-ECM environments, there’s an outstanding probability of destruction.
Unequalled Ability for Self-Defence and for Local Area Defence
With autonomous guidance and a very short reaction time, VL MICA missiles can intercept a wide variety of low-altitude and low-signature targets: airplanes, missiles, intelligent bombs and helicopters. Easy to deploy, they are endowed with highly advanced technologies:
- Infrared or radar seeker
- 360° coverage
- 10 minutes for full deployment
- 15 minutes for launcher reload
- Anti-saturation attack
- Salvo firing (one launcher sends four missiles to four different targets in six seconds)
