Mistral User Club, another example of MBDA’s commitment to his customers

logo-muc-2016-1On 25 and 26 November, the Estonian Defence Forces hosted the Mistral Club, organised by the DGA in partnership with MBDA for the European countries.

The Mistral Users Club is an annual event, bringing together 8 European countries: Hungary, Spain, France, Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Norway and Cyprus. This year, 5 of the 8 countries met up to discuss the use of the Mistral weapon system.

The topics on this year’s agenda were dedicated to operational use, cooperation and coordination in the field of air defence, building on experience feedback from each country.

The French contingent presented the latest progress on the operational evaluation of the new Matis MP3 camera and the use of this equipment at COP21 (the UN Conference on Climate Change), as well as explaining the need for a new training simulator (for which MBDA is awaiting an order).

International CSS Director Rob Klein hailed the event: “Once again the Mistral User Club demonstrated the trust that our Customers have in MBDA and the Mistral product family – past, present, and future – as well as the benefit that working closely together can bring for all. As a community they are innovative and passionate and I am always inspired by them to think about what else MBDA could do to support these products and Customers through life.
