MBDA’s ‘Collaborate to Innovate’ stand returns at DSEI 2023

Collaborate to Innovate stand in 2022

At DSEI 2023, MBDA will be present on the MAKE UK Defence stand. The ‘Collaborate to Innovate’ team will be there to meet and greet SMEs, research and technology organisations, universities, trade associations, laboratories and other institutions attending the exhibition who would be interested in working with the company.

The Manufacturing Hub at DSEI 2023 – where the MBDA booth on the MAKE UK Defence stand is situated (Hall 2 No. 250) – aims to support manufacturers looking to break into the global Defence and Security sector and those wanting to strengthen their existing relationships. It is a natural fit for the ‘Collaborate to Innovate’ team to be there and engage with businesses in the supply chain or new ones looking to become part of it with help from MBDA.

Simon Wadey, MBDA lead for Open Innovation, said, “This is our second appearance at a major UK defence exhibition. The success of our last one in meeting the number of potential suppliers and partners we spoke to meant we are delighted to do it again. This time at DSEI alongside Make UK Defence. We look forward to meeting and talking to companies in and beyond the aerospace and defence sector. If visitors to DSEI think we could work together, we hope they will come and see us on our stand.”

Innovation is a core value of MBDA and one of the ways the company anticipates future technologies. The ‘Open Innovation’ approach with suppliers is essential to this value. It’s why MBDA welcomes collaboration with like-minded partners.

Through such collaborations, the Group builds partnerships and lasting relationships that identify the latest technologies and emerging opportunities, enhancing global competitiveness. In turn, these enhance the military capabilities of MBDA’s domestic nations and their allies, protecting their sovereignty and delivering the complex weapons operators need now and in the future.

There are several different ways in which companies, organisations, and academia can work with MBDA. Interested parties can find a guide to some options available on our website.

However, the team at the ‘Collaborate to Innovate with MBDA’ booth on the Make UK Defence stand at DSEI 2023 (H2-250) looks forward to meeting and talking to potential partners about these opportunities and how they can work together.
