MBDA’s its latest innovations were on display, reaffirming its commitment to the sovereignty and security of European nations and their allies.
Throughout the event, MBDA Group welcomed government and military delegations, industry partners, and stakeholders from the defence ecosystem, who were able to see for themselves the solutions the Group has designed to meet current and future operational challenges.
Innovative Capabilities to Meet Tomorrow's Threats
This year, a number of major announcements were made that underline the Group's innovation momentum.
These include the entry into exclusive negotiations with the Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) regarding the THUNDART programme, co-developed with Safran Electronics & Defense.
It was also announced that the ONE WAY EFFECTOR, has been renamed and will now be known as DELUGE.
The Group highlighted its advances in remote-controlled munitions with the signing of a trial contract for the AKERON RCX50.
Additionally, the NCM-LCM MK2, a flagship innovation for 2026, was also presented to visitors.
MBDA also emphasised its commitment to preparing future capabilities through HYDIS, a pan-European consortium aimed at strengthening the European response to hypersonic threats.
Strengthening Industrial and Technological Co-operation
Industrial and technological collaboration is an essential lever for developing the capabilities that armed forces require to face future threats.
In line with this, MBDA announced the development of the NEPTUNE2 cruise missile in partnership with the Ukrainian company LUCH.
The Group also signed a co-development contract with Fly-R for a new remote-controlled munition in the United Arab Emirates.
Eurosatory provided an opportunity to highlight several strategic collaborations with key players in the European defence sector, including TERMA and UNIFLY. These partnerships illustrate MBDA's determination to strengthen industrial synergies and develop solutions for the benefit of armed forces.
Attracting the Talents Who Will Build Tomorrow's Defense
On 18 and 19 June, MBDA’s recruitment teams were present on the stand and at the GICAT professional tent—a dedicated space for students, job seekers, and military personnel in transition.
They were able to showcase the wide variety of potential careers within the Group, and engage with numerous potential candidates interested in the challenges of the defence sector.
