METEOR represents the next generation of Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missiles (BVRAAM) designed to redefine air-to-air combat in the 21st century. It’s a result of a collaborative effort led by MBDA and a consortium of European partners consisting of UK, Germany, Italy, France, Sweden and Spain, all united by a shared objective to counteract current and future threats.

Recent conflicts and operations have demonstrated the overarching importance of an efficient and robust force protection capability as a prerequisite for all deployments. The increasing diversity and complexity of air threat makes this requirement even more important today for land, sea and air operations. 

In this context, MBDA provides the MISTRAL family, and highlights during this tradeshow the MISTRAL 3 - a versatile missile offering comprehensive protection across Land, Maritime and Air platforms and guaranteeing precise performance.

ASTER missiles form the cornerstone of Europe’s naval and land-based air defence programmes. The ASTER missile family comprises ASTER 15 for short to medium range and ASTER 30 for short to long range. There is extensive commonality between the two variants with both missiles featuring the same terminal dart. Both the ASTER 15 and the ASTER 30 missiles are vertically launched and autonomously guided to provide the best means of coping with saturating attacks.

Intended for the Mirage and Rafale, the SMART Family offers extended range and precision strikes against a wide range of targets, from hardened fixed targets to relocatable and mobile targets. Its enhanced range makes the SMART Family ideally suited for Suppression and/or Destruction of Enemy Air Defences (SEAD/ DEAD) missions, even in highly contested threat environments.
