Clarification
Following yesterday’s discovery of a weighted Mistral model in the French commune of Sainte-Thorette, MBDA would like to clarify certain points:
- The object discovered was a weighted measuring device containing no pyrotechnic material, no electronics, no means of propulsion and nothing of a classified nature.
- In addition, the discovered equipment is almost 30 years old and corresponds to the type of equipment used at that time by MATRA and its suppliers or aircraft platform manufacturers to exchange certain technical data (dimensions, weight, interfaces and environmental factors linked to the carrying platform).
- This equipment has not been in use for several years. Neither is it at all representative of current operational equipment. In fact, Mistral missiles were never manufactured nor assembled in Bourges.
Investigations are currently underway to discover the most recent owner of this equipment and to identify the reason for its presence in the Bourges area.
Suite à la découverte hier d’une maquette lestée Mistral dans la commune de Sainte-Thorette, MBDA tient à apporter quelques précisions :
Le matériel retrouvé est un équipement de mesure lesté et centré qui ne contient aucun dispositif pyrotechnique, aucun composant électronique, ni moyen de propulsion ou éléments classifiés.
D’autre part, ce matériel est âgé de près d’une trentaine d’années et correspond aux outillages utilisés à cette époque par MATRA et ses équipementiers ou plate-formistes pour échanger sur les données techniques liées à ce matériel (dimensions, poids, interfaces, mesures d’environnement liées au porteur).
Il s’agit d’un matériel qui n’est plus utilisé depuis de nombreuses années. Il n’est aucunement représentatif des équipements opérationnels actuels. Enfin, le missile Mistral n’a jamais été fabriqué ni assemblé à Bourges.
Les investigations pour connaître le dernier détenteur de ce matériel et identifier les causes de sa présence dans les environs de Bourges sont en cours
Gestern wurde in der französischen Gemeinde Sainte-Thorette eine Mistral-Attrappe entdeckt.
Dazu nimmt die MBDA wie folgt Stellung: Das gefundene Objekt entspricht vom Gewicht her einem Originalflugkörper, enthält aber weder pyrotechnische Komponenten, noch Elektronik, Triebwerk oder VS-Hardware.
Die Attrappe ist fast 30 Jahre alt und zählt zu den Sonderbetriebsmitteln, die damals von MATRA und ihren Baugruppen- bzw. Plattformherstellern für den Austausch bestimmter technischer Daten (Abmessungen, Massenwerte, Schnittstellen und Messung von trägerbezogenen Umweltdaten) eingesetzt wurden.
Sie ist seit vielen Jahren nicht mehr im Einsatz und entspricht somit auch in keiner Weise den heutigen Geräten im operationellen Einsatz. In Bourges wurden nie Mistral-Flugkörper hergestellt oder montiert.
Es laufen derzeit Untersuchungen zur Ermittlung des letzten Eigentümers der Attrappe und der Gründe, warum diese im Raum Bourges gefunden wurde.
In seguito al ritrovamento di un modello di Mistral nel comune francese di Sainte-Thorette, MBDA desidera chiarire alcuni punti:
L’oggetto rinvenuto è un dispositivo di misurazione che non contiene materiale pirotecnico o elettronico, mezzi di propulsione o di qualunque natura classificata.
Inoltre, il dispositivo scoperto risale ad almeno 30 anni fa e corrisponde al tipo di apparecchiatura allora utilizzata da MATRA e dai relativi fornitori o produttori di piattaforme aeree per lo scambio di determinati dati tecnici (dimensioni, peso, interfacce e fattori ambientali legati alla piattaforma di trasporto).
Tale apparecchiatura è rimasta inutilizzata per svariati anni e non è in alcun modo rappresentativa dell’apparecchiatura correntemente in uso. Infatti, i missili Mistral non sono mai stati prodotti né assemblati a Bourges.
Sono attualmente in corso delle indagini per scoprire l’ultimo proprietario di questo dispositivo e per individuare il motivo della sua presenza nell’area di Bourges.
