More than 50 years of expertise, to the service of the Hellenic armed forces
From May 6th to 8th 2025, at Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport in Athens, MBDA will be present at DEFEA 2025 Hall 2, Booth n°E02, to showcase its expertise on complex advanced weapon systems, and its commitment to the Hellenic armed forces.
The commitment of MBDA in Greece started more than 50 years ago, demonstrated by several actions, from a local presence with local offices, to industrial cooperation with almost fifteen Greek partners already integrated in our Supply Chain of our products such as EXOCET, ASTER and MICA, and the outsourcing of operations for electronic and mechanic projects.
This solid cooperation between MBDA and the Hellenic armed forces includes also the innovation part, with two main examples of new products developments with Greek companies: the Greek company MILTECH for a light turret for AKERON plus the potential equipment of USV for Navy, and the Greek partner ALTUS for the drone KERVEROS, the new generation of anti-tank and anti-infrastructure weapon system based on state-of the art new ATLAS 8 HEAVYLIFTER drone, equipped with two powerful battlefield AKERON MP missiles.
Apart the presence on the booth of these innovative weapon solutions, some other products will be in the spotlight. DEFEA attendees will be of course able to see the EXOCET family and its MM40 B3C version, echoing the recent announcement by the Greek Minister of Defence, Nikos Dendias, of an agreement with his French counterpart, Sébastien Lecornu, for the supply of sixteen EXOCET anti-ship missiles. Let us recall that the Greek Navy was the first EXOCET client 50 years ago.
Other products will also be promoted such as the Air Defence missile ASTER B1NT with its operational successes in the Red Sea, and also the Deep Strike missile STORM SHADOW /SCALP, capable of being operated day and night in all weathers, offering a high precision capability.
