Three weeks after her appointment, Mrs Catherine Vautrin chose MBDA for her first visit dedicated to the defence industry.

MBDA CEO Eric Béranger and Executive Group Director Programmes and France Managing Director Stéphane Reb were honored to welcome Mrs Vautrin, along with Emmanuel Chiva, Director of DGA (Direction Générale de l’Armement), at MBDA facilities in France, in Bourges Centre region.

This visit was the opportunity for the Minister to see firsthand the unique capabilities of our company, its expertise and wide missions, as well as the dynamism of the group and its strong involvement to participate into the European rearmament.

Bourges facilities – as do all MBDA locations across Europe – are a great example of the ramp up efforts made by the group, and the development of the production means.

During this visit, the French Minister was able to learn more about some of our flagship programmes, such as EXOCET, ASTER and MISTRAL, and also to gain additional awareness about MBDA know-how in support of national and European sovereignty, in a context where defence capabilities are the cornerstone of our collective security.

The visit was marked by constructive and fruitful discussions, highlighting the importance of industrial excellence, collaboration and innovation. Welcoming the Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs is a worthy recognition and a sign of trust for MBDA, its mission and the involvement of its employees across the group.
