FC/ASW

Today’s context continues to underline that sovereign deep strike capabilities are key for Europe. The high intensity conflicts and the increased density of air defence systems both on the front-line and in-depth have shown that armed forces have to deploy a range of complex weapon systems, embedding disruptive technologies, in order to overcome these threats and fulfill their mission.

That’s why MBDA is working on the next generation of European deep strike systems, with the Future Cruise / Anti-Ship Weapon (FC/ASW) at the fore.

Along with cooperation programmes, such as STORM SHADOW / SCALP, METEOR or ASTER families, the FC/ASW is a strong cooperation between countries, bringing together the best European expertise and know-how, to deliver the most technologically advanced and mature response to the need for operational superiority and freedom of action.

Through FC/ASW programme, MBDA is developing decisive Anti-Surface Warfare, Deep Precision Strike, Counter-A2AD (SEAD/DEAD) and anti-HVAA capabilities, with two complementary effectors, launched from air and naval platforms, combining the survivability benefits of high speed/maneuverability and low observability needed for tomorrow’s contested battlespace.

These two effectors are displayed at the front area/outdoor of the MBDA booth at Paris Air Show 2025.
