MBDA Italy awarded by Qatar Emiri Naval Force for the supply of operational capabilities
MBDA Italy has been awarded by the Qatar Emiri Naval Force (QENF) to supply operational capabilities for their new naval units: 4 multi-role corvettes, 1 Landing Platform Dock (LPD) and 2 patrol vessels. The programme will be comprehensive and will include training, test stations and maintenance facilities as well as integrated logistical support. The award to MBDA Italia is within the framework of a Government to Government agreement signed today in Rome by the Minister of Defence for Italy, Roberta Pinotti and the Minister of Defence for Qatar, Khalid Bin Muhammad Al-Attiyah.

MBDA Italia è stata scelta dalla Qatar Emiri Naval Force (QENF) per fornire capacità operative alle nuove unità navali del paese: 4 corvette multiruolo, 1 nave da sbarco tipo LPD (Landing Platform Dock) e 2 pattugliatori. Il programma comprenderà anche attività di formazione, fornitura di stazioni di test e strutture per la manutenzione, così come il supporto logistico integrato. La scelta di MBDA Italia rientra nell’ambito di un accordo intergovernativo firmato oggi a Roma dal ministro della Difesa italiano, Roberta Pinotti, ed il suo omologo qatariano, Khalid Bin Muhammad Al-Attiyah.
