Julian WHITEHEAD
Julian has been Chief Finance Officer of MBDA since the Company’s formation in December 2001.
Prior to this, Julian WHITEHEAD held several different roles within BAE Systems and its forerunner British Aerospace. He joined in 1992, starting in the HQ Finance team where he undertook a number of different roles including Business Investment Controller and management Accountant. From 1995 to 1997 he was Head of Finance for British Aerospace Dynamics Ltd, where he managed the financial transition to Matra BAE Dynamics. In 1997, Julian moved into the aircraft leasing activities as VP Finance Jets within British Aerospace Asset Management before becoming in 2000, on the formation of BAE Systems, Finance Group Director of Procurement and Supply Chain.
Prior to joining British Aerospace, Julian had spells at KPMG, where he was a financial Management Consultant advising major clients throughout the UK, and BICC plc, becoming Financial Director of BICCOTEST, a cable test company, on qualifying as a chartered Management Accountant in 1987.
Julian Whitehead graduated with a degree in Commerce from the University of Birmingham in 1984.
He was born in Liverpool in 1962.
